Bad weather has led to the cancellation of shipping services today between Upolu and Savai’i.

In a post on their Facebook page at 12.30pm today, Samoa Shipping Corporation Limited advised that their services today are cancelled until further notice.

“Due to the bad weather conditions, our normal trips for today have been cancelled and if the weather conditions persist, services will continue to be closed until further notice.

“However, if there is any change in weather situation and there is a chance that sailing will be safe to continue, you will all be informed,” the post reads.

The State-owned shipping company said it apologises for the inconvenienced caused to travelers, but anyone needing more information should contact their main office on telephone 20935/20936, Mulifanua 45518 or Salelologa 51477.

The cancellation comes three days after travel between the two islands was also disrupted last week when bad weather forced the company cease its services.
