Where you’re missing it

Re: Police helpless to stop child vendors

Savesamoafrommadmen, this is where you and Wendy are still flailing around creating hot air adding to global warming and climate change.

Whilst we wait for your magical jobs to appear overnight, these kids will still be out there selling on behalf of their parents.

These are kids. They are not supposed to be out working, they are supposed to be in school.

I’ve set out how job opportunities can be created but those jobs are not going to magically appear overnight.

Meanwhile, it will be much quicker to obtain a slight increase in funding in the education budget, or donor assistance.

It is only two hours every Saturday (or even 1 hour) during the school year. It can perhaps be staffed on rotation from volunteer Peace Corps teachers or VSA teachers from NZ. They can even hold the classes in some space donated by a government ministry or business in downtown Savalalo, so it is close to where these kids hang out every day.
