Questions for the Police

Re: Petition against Commissioner

Not long ago there was a “ghost letter” from the same ministry to the Prime Minister in which led to the dismissal of the top brass in the Police Force.

Now here goes another one from the Senior Police Management to the Prime Minister again. Here are some of the questions that I have:

1. Why do these letters keep popping up at the Prime Minister’s office instead of the Minister of Police’s office?

2. If these were reported to the Minister, then why didn’t he take some disciplinary action against the Commissioner?

It seems that the Commissioner did not get along with almost everyone in the Ministry including the Minister and the National Prosecutor Officer.

These are the people that he should be very close to at all times. If everything mentioned in this letter is true then please, Samoa does not need a loose cannon as it’s top brass in the Police Force.

Some of these Senior Police Management applied for the Police Commissioner position when it was vacant, so that makes me ask whether this letter was written in a good faith or was it a way to eliminate the Police Commissioner who also didn’t come within the ranks but from outside?
