Is Samoa not founded on God?

Dear Editor,

Wow, what is wrong with this government?

Ua le iloa le Atua? A’o fea le faavae ma le tagavai a le malo o Samoa. Faavae i le Atua Samoa.”

Why does Tuilaepa always refer to Biblical phrases and verses sometimes in his speeches? E lafi ai?

Why speak about God when he doesn’t even acknowledge and respect God? Samoa has always been known as a nation that puts God first, thus was and still is the reason that the people of Samoa would always do a lotu or prayer first to start off an event/activities, especially this most important event.. our Independence celebrations.

The independence celebration last week must have been the first time in history that I’ve heard of, ua le amanaia ai e le malo o Samoa le Atua ma lona alofa i ona tagata .
