You have blessed us and we return the favour.

With that in mind, the Committee of Itu-o-Tane College showed their deep appreciation to representatives of Huizhou City Government, China by presenting them with gifts.

That included finely woven mats, a flywhisk (the fue), wooden staff (to’oto’o), Samoan hook, and a Samoan bowl (known as a tanoa).

The gifts were a gesture of appreciation for China’s donation of a computer lab with 20 computers and a teaching platform for Itu-o-Tane College.

The Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between the Samoan government and the Chinese government not only have built a partnership between our countries but a friendship between our people.

“Our hearts are filled with appreciation and sincere thanks to the government of China for their donation,” said U’a Mulivai,

“I hope this friendship, not only to this village but to the whole of Samoa will last forever. I pray for more blessings like these from overseas countries.”
