The Samoa Qualifications Authority (S.Q.A) is holding a consultation with its stakeholders tomorrow at the Development Bank of Samoa building.

The consultation provides an opportunity for contribution and feedback from the P.S.E.T sub-sector on the S.Q.A’s Corporate Plan 2017-2020 before it is finalized for implementation.

By the end of the consultation, it is expected that stakeholders are informed and aware of the planned activities for the next four years to ensure they work in collaboration with the S.Q.A in strengthening the P.S.E.T sub-sector of education.

S.Q.A is the principal organisation mandated to provide policy advice; coordinate and regulate qualifications and quality standards; promote links and learning pathways; and quality Post School Education and Training (P.S.E.T) in Samoa.

One of the S.Q.A’s mandated functions is to monitor and report to government and the Post School Education and Training (P.S.E.T) sub sector, on the activities, resourcing and overall performance of the sub-sector in relation to national strategic goals for economic, social and cultural development.

To ensure achievement of this function, S.Q.A is in the final stages of producing its Corporate Plan 2017- 2020 in alignment with the current Strategy for the Development of Samoa (S.D.S), Education Sector Plan 2013-2018, and the current P.S.E.T Strategic Plan.

The S.Q.A Corporate Plan is a strategic document that sets out a planning framework for the implementation of activities scheduled for the 2017-2020 planning period to strengthen P.S.E.T. The consultation will take place at the Development Bank of Samoa Conference Room- Level 6, starting at 9:30am.
