Why you’re better off out of Samoa

Dear Editor,

Re: Govt. urged to review car trade law

Of course Samoa is not business friendly because in Samoa it’s all about who you know in the old boys club.

Tuilaepa helps his friends. In this case his friends are the dealerships that sell new cars.

They don’t want you competing with their bottom line with your older second hand cars.

They say jump and Tuilaepa says how high.

Tuilaepa’s friends can’t move their new cars off their lots fast enough if you are there selling cheaper second hand cars.

You would be better off doing business in Fiji under Bainimarama than trying to compete fairly in Samoa under the you scratch my back I’ll scratch your back corrupt rules of business.

His new car dealership buddies all hope you pull out, you threaten their economic dominance in Samoan society.
