Marta Sciarrabba has just been in Samoa for three days.

On top of the fact she already loves it, she also has a lot to look forward to.

The young lady from Milan in Italy told Dear Tourist about her long flight to the islands.

“It was almost a one day flight from Milan to Abu Dhabi,” she said.

“I had then had to fly to Brisbane and to Apia.

“That was a super tiring trip and I’m suffering.”

Life in Italy and Samoa are different.

“There’s a big time difference between Italy and Apia, it’s 13 hours.

“But at the same time, I’m excited because I’ve never experienced going to such a far place in my life.”

She is 22 years old and studies Nutrition Science in a university in Italy.

Marta is in Samoa as a volunteer nutritionist.

Marta has never known or heard about Samoa and she plans to make many memories in Samoa during her stay.

“I plan to go to Savai’i with three of my friends who are also working in Samoa as volunteers this weekend.

“I heard there are a lot of beautiful beaches and it’s a lush place too.

“Now my country is experiencing winter, so I’m looking forward to enjoying my stay in Savai’i in the hot sun and relaxed atmosphere.”
