Aaralie Papali’i is the Dux of the Anglican Primary School.

Aaralie, from Siusega, was announced the top overall student during the school’s prize giving yesterday.

The excited 12-year-old dedicated her achievement to all her primary school teachers, her parents and extended family. She acknowledged the support given by everyone around her.

Her mother, Jennifer Papali’i, couldn’t have been more proud as she told the Samoa Observer that she is beyond satisfied with her daughter’s achievements.

“Although it was a tough year, my daughter Aaralie has proven herself to us and we are very proud for her achievements.”

Grandmother, Elena Laban Acosta, was also pleased with her granddaughter’s achievements and said that she has made her family proud.

Aaralie was not the only child of Mrs. Papali’i who topped the class. Her son, Mack Papali’i, was also awarded first place in Year 2.

Aaralie wishes to become a veterinary and believes that with hard work she will achieve her dreams.
