It’s about fairness

Dear Editor,

Re: P.M. on church taxes

Sorry guys but if I’m getting paid $70 a week and I have to pay tax and the pastor is collecting $500 to $5000 a week or fortnight, how is that fair for me?

I’ll pay tax and the pastor is nothing?

After all I continue to get poor while he gets a lot of free umu, free fa’amaki, free house, and collect a lot of kupe from the poor family.

And also I was in a C.C.C.S church when they call out that my family didn’t donate for the pastor in front of whole church.

As young boy, I felt let down by my parents because we were very poor.

The pastor wants double storey house but my family is staying in a faleo’o that sometimes you can see the sky as you lay down to sleep in the night and think where and how your parents will get the next meal.

I’m just saying.
