Babies and jail

Re: Babies don’t belong in jail cells

A live baby behind bars is far better than a dead baby from hunger at home.

I guess the question would be. Could a baby keep a mother from facing consequences of her actions or will the mother put the baby where he/she doesn’t belong?

I’m sure the police are having a hard time with this case but they have to do their job.

I’m assuming that if a baby would keep a mother from facing the consequences of her failure and irresponsibility, then cases like this one will no doubt rise in regularity and become a norm in our little paradise.
