Communism, Samoa and customary land

Dear Editor,

Re: Customary lands, heritage and freedom of speech

If you could only live another 50 years, communism may be the way of the world, not by choice but necessity.

The current system where we have different classes in society cannot be sustained as the underprivileged will demand a better deal.

You might have achieved a wonderful academic profile through your hard work but it’s not right to use that to mark others like myself, a simple forklift driver, and to claim you have a higher authority on morality.

I can assure you that Nafanua and Salamasina have history.

You keep bringing up the “white man” so all I can say is that the “white man” has a legacy throughout history. The “white man” wrote the history text we were brainwashed with.

The “white man” brought the Bible and the Cross to peoples the world over and stole their land, raped their women, killed their men and stole the crown jewels. Oh but since the history books withheld most of that truth until now.

A report into child sexual abuse by a Royal Commission of Enquiry here in Australia revealed some of the most heinous crimes against children by the Church - Catholic, Anglican and other organisation championed by the “white man” for decades.

I know there are many wonderful, decent, loving and special “white people” in our lives but it doesn’t take away the facts that have been hidden and veiled under the guise of the “Goodness” for mankind only to be exposed as nothing but a fraud, destroyed thousands of lives and will destroy thousands more.

Repeal L.T.R.A. 2008 now!
