TeensNET Program a Hit in Savaii

For the past three weeks, on Saturday mornings at Don Bosco College, Salelologa you will see about 30 young enthusiastic netball players warming up waiting for the staff from Netball Samoa to arrive to share their expertise and knowledge on basic netball skills and drills. 

This program is part of Netball Samoa’s calendar of events and will continue for another three Saturday’s.  

The players are from various secondary schools and some are accompanied by their parents and school teachers. 

The main reasons for attending the netball clinics ranged from wanting to improve their netball skills, get fit, represent Samoa in a National team and enjoy making new friends.  

CEO, Netball Samoa noted the response to the netball clinics to be very promising especially with the attitude displayed by the players. 

The CEO continues to say that the clinics were planned to be held prior to the Annual Secondary School netball competition to provide players with refresher netball sessions and coaches with capacity building training to assist them prepare their teams.

One Netball Pacific is an initiative of Netball Australia delivered in partnership with Netball Samoa with support from the Australian Government.
