Early childhood education sets the foundation for future success.

With that in mind, Vaivase-tai pre-school celebrated the end of the year with great fanfare last Friday.

The parents, families, friends and supporters of the 31 students attended the occasion.

Principal Noumea Tupou said the completion of another year is the culmination of a lot of hard work for the school, which was first established in 2005.

“A lot has changed since the beginning,” she said.

“When the school was first established we didn’t have much funds to help out but throughout the years the government decided to give some funding to help with the development.

“Those funds have helped us in the development and we will be starting a new school building because at the moment we are using the church hall for our school.”

Ms. Tupou said the number of students has grown and she anticipates the growth to continue over the next few years.
