As Samoa counts down to the Pacific Games next year, Netball Samoa is on the move.

As well as preparing the teams to aim for gold, they are also looking for volunteers to help stage the competition.

You could be one of them.

“Volunteers will play a very important part at the 2019 Pacific Games Netball Tournament with approximately 100 roles being created to help stage the event,” a statement from Netball Samoa says.

“The Netball tournament will be a thrilling five days of action of the best in the Pacific showcasing their style and flare known for in their respective islands.”

“Whether you volunteer before or during the event, Pacific Games Netball Tournament will give you an experience of a lifetime, an opportunity to meet new friends and the chance to gain new skills.”

Netball Samoa has started with putting the call out for volunteers to join its team with a couple of information sessions completed and to date they have 16 registered volunteers.

Netball Samoa C.E.O., Rosemarie Esera, says that without volunteers, netball in Samoa cannot survive.

“Every week in communities across Samoa, volunteers bring netball to life and Pacific Games Netball Tournament will be no different,” she said.

“Volunteers will be central to the event’s success.  We have a wide range of roles available for all tastes and experiences – so whether you’re a netball nut or just like to get involved in a major event – there’s something for you.”

“For more information please contact our Competition Manager – Gaualofa Matalavea- Saaga 777 3026, Technical Official Coordinator - Saui’a Dr Louise MT Mataia Milo on 20072 x 203 or the Netball office 27528.”
