Shotgun shooters make it a close contest

From all accounts, it was an amazing day of shooting at the Tafaigata Range last Saturday.

The tournament, which was hosted by the Le Pe’a Club members, couldn’t have wished for a better turnout with 30 shooters lined up to contest the trophies in the three grades in shotgun.

Add to that the closeness of the scores particularly in Grade B, where a shoot out was required between Niko Caffarelli, Moefauouo Salale Moananu and Faumuina Ray Pereira with Niko emerging in first place.

It was also a testament to the skills of those in B Grade who are pushing for A Grade status.

In the Juniors it was an all girl lineup for first, second and third placings with Vadia Caffarelli proving too good for second placegetter Grace Fa’auiga  and Meraul Loibl.

In the main event, Tagaloasa Toddy Iosefa was just too good taking home the Le Pea – Champion Trophy ahead of Tuala Lole Stowers and Leasi Galuvao.
