Chinese president pledges support for Samoa's economic development

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi here on Tuesday, pledging further support for the Pacific island country's push for economic development. During the meeting at the Great Hall of the People, Xi voiced his appreciation for Tuilaepa's contribution to the development of China-Samoa ties.

Banning plastic to save our island communities

It will only be a matter of time before fishermen in Samoa catch fish with plastic in the stomach or see marine animals get trapped in abandoned plastic fishing nets. Last month 300 sea turtles were reportedly found dead off the coast of Mexico, with experts suspecting toxic algae attached to abandoned fishing nets or asphyxiation (the act of depriving something or someone of air).

Re: A true man of God Rubbish. It’s not the church’s money, it’s my money, already being taxed and I’m giving it to the church or faifeau fully aware that he’s going to use it for his keeping. That’s why the Levites didn’t get an inheritance of the land.

Re: It’s a free will offering Something like $300 a week would meet most faifeau “living needs”, not $2000 like some faifeau in some congregations get. Others get the latest model SUVs presented to them. It’s excessive and quite obscene given the living standards of many of the people featured in “village voice” every week.
