Not long enough

Dear Editor

Re: Judge gives her reasons

I appreciate the conviction but it’s not enough, He should’ve been given a longer sentence. He has not only harmed the victim and affected her life in

the long term basis with her mind altering encounter that robbed her of her independence and individuality, perhaps for the rest of her life. But he has also harmed the country’s tourism industry the alleged biggest income earner for the country, so it affects every living and unborn Samoan.

Why are we so lenient with criminals who rob others of their freedom and our future, and are incapable of learning and changing?
