P.M. called a “troublemaker”

Samoan businesswoman Moe Lei Sam has slammed Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr Sa’ilele Malielegaoi for badmouthing nurses. Describing the P.M. as a “disappointment, troublemaker, and focused on the wrong things”, Ms. Lei Sam said Tuilaepa’s tirade directed at the nurses—where he criticised nurses for scolding patients and to “act like nurses”—was unjustified coming from the Head of Government.

Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor, Jim Acosta is not “ a messenger” your editorial implies. He is a grandstanding poor excuse for a Journalist (and that’s being nice!). He is supposed to be an objective party conveying the truth whether he likes it or not.

Dear Editor, Re: Unprofessional nurses irritate P.M. It depends… some nurses do know more than the doctors especially when you hire “cheap” doctors. My wife is a nurse and there are plenty of times she would correct the doctors.

Re: Give the nurses a break Most Samoans who have been to the hospital in their lives have a story about an angry nurse. You know it is true, Mata’afa. There would have been many Samoans around the country and the world nodding their heads when the P.M. said his piece.
