Send in a rep

Dear Editor

Re: An overly emotional editorial

First of all, has the government received any complaints from any of the villages concerning the inability of their pulenu’u to fulfil his duties and obligations or was this the Prime Minister’s own fabrication so he could have control over appointing Pulenu’us which he currently does not have?

The pulenu’u may be a government creation which was under the colonial system.

Why not send a government representative with a truck to take the pulenu’u to do the inspections to make sure that what the pulenu’u is reporting is true if he does not trust the wisdom of the village council?

“The duties are not that hard and are mostly mundane.”

“Nobody will die of a heart attack from these kinds of mundane administrative duties.”

If these above statements are true, then why the complaint about old people not being able to do the pulenu’u’s job?

You and your government always contradict yourselves.
