Liquor Planet’s Pop Up bar draws a crowd

05 June 2017, 12:00AM

In anticipation of the Red’s vs Blue’s game on Friday night, and to create a fun atmosphere leading into the Independence weekend, Liquor Planet held a pop-up bar at their Maluafou premises, on Wednesday to showcase their support.

The event included the pop up bar with cocktail samples, live DJ, sausage sizzle and many satisfied pass-byers and customers enjoying the outdoor festivities.  The bar featured cocktails that are easy to make with readily available ingredients from home.

The pop up bar was an instant hit with the customers who attended.  The best part was the customers could sample the cocktails onsite.  They were also pleasantly surprised that how easy it was to create their own cocktails.   Those who checked out the Pop Up Bar were intrigued by the “Forbidden Fruit”, “Aloe River” and “The Flying Mule” cocktails.

Talei Lesa-Ah Liki, Owner of Liquor Planet, wanted to showcase her products in a fun, different and engaging way.  She also wanted to create some hype for the game since it was Samoa’s first time ever to host a Super 15’s Rugby Match.  The pop up bar was a way to engage with the sports fans in Samoa, and give them an opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere leading into the long weekend.

Liquor Planet also held a competition via their Facebook page to win Rugby tickets for the game, which was very popular with followers.  The winner was announced at the end of the Pop-Up bar event on Wednesday evening.  Petra Uitualagi was the lucky winner of two tickets to the Blues v Reds Match.
