Fisherman drowns at Taga, Savai’i

A 49-year-old father drowned last Wednesday.

The death of the man at Taga and Falevao was confirmed by the Police Spokesperson, Su’a Muliaga Tiumalu, yesterday.

He said the man had gone fishing with a relative when the incident happened. 


Theft as a servant 

In another police matter, a 23-year-old female has been charged with theft as a servant.

The charge follows a complaint lodged by Seabreeze Resort at A’ufaga where the accused was employed. 

The accused is charged with one count of theft for the amount of $2,564. 

She is due to appear in Court on 7 March 2016.
