Talitonu Lei’ataua and Fa’aeteete Julie Leota exchanged vows at Toamua last Saturday.

The ceremony was the culmination of more than three years of courtship for the couple.

“We cannot thank our families enough for their unending support from the first day we decided to get married,” Mrs. Lei’ataua said.

“We have been through many hardships and difficulties, financially and socially while preparing for this day but thankfully we have made it happen and it was beautiful.”

The wedding ceremony was followed by a feast at the Mulivai Marist Hall where the families and guests celebrated the union.

“We were so moved by so many friends and families that we never thought would show up.”

Mrs. Leiataua said their love story started on Facebook. The rest, she smiled, is history.

The groom is the son of Rosalia Laulua and Taulima Leiataua of Leulumoega-tuai.

The bride is the daughter of Leatalua Tautaiolevao and Faalava Leota of Toamua.

Mr. and Mrs. Leiataua also acknowledged the presence of their relatives from overseas who came to support them on their special day.
