What’s missing from their theological discourse

Dear Editor,

Re: Ancient mysteries reveal the future

Shot Leituala! I like the way you think and write! I would argue though that Pastor Webster is very sincere with what he is doing.

This is how the S.D.A. keep their people educated in their doctrines by way of such important visitations and information sharing.

It is almost a form of re-evangelisation according to their discernment of the shifting realities of our times.

However, what the history of the S.D.A. as a church reveals, which dates back to the time when both the Mormon and Jehovah’s Witnesses were starting out too in the U.S.A. is that it is almost ‘fatally flawed’ in the way a character in a Shakespeare play is, because they continue to dabble in trying to predict the time of Advent etc.

What I believe they continue to deny and miss in their theological discourse is the fact that Jesus makes it clear in the Gospels that even He doesn’t know when He will return!

Basically, God the Father even in his relationship with His Son does not relinquish the fact that there still is a respected Va Tapuia between Him, His Son, and His Spirit!

A close reading of the Scriptures and a dependence on the work of the Holy Spirit through prayer, as the Christian Church has accepted will reveal that fact to all!...Manu teleina Lau Afioga Leituala! Ia saga faaaogaina pea e le Atua Soifua lou faasoa ma ou manatunatuga e viia ai lona Suafa Tolu-Tasi Paia ma faatamaoaigaina ai le Tofa ma le Moe o si o tatou atunuu, ma tagata!...Peace!
