Shipping Corporation presents dividend to govt.

DIVIDEND PRESENTATION: Mata’utia Lauina, Tapusoa Fuimaono, Palea Va’alele Faaolotoi, P.M Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, Minister of S.S.C, Papali’i Niko Lee Hang and Papali’i Willie Nansen.

The Samoa Shipping Corporation (S.S.C) presented a cheque of $952,083 to the government yesterday.

The dividend presented was from the Corporation’s net profit for July 2014 to June 2015.

Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, acknowledged S.S.C’s performance.

 “I want to thank the board, management, General Manager and the Minister of the Corporation for their hard work,” he said.

The Chairman of the Samoa Shipping Corporation, Palea Va’alele Fa’aolotoi, presented the cheque.

The last dividend of $829,292.50 was presented to the Prime Minister early August last year.

The Corporation is headed by General Manager, Papali’i Willie Nansen.
