Caution about giving money to Parker fight

Dear Editor,

Re: P.M. on Parker’s fight

The logistics and investments necessary for this to happen will bankrupt the country.

The first thing promoters will ask is - what’s in for them, that means money and profits talk.

There’s no doubt that Apia Park can be filled by enthusiastic fans but will it bring thousands of premium tickets which can cost up to thousands of dollars or even tens of thousands of dollars?

We have to remember also that some of the die hard fans of boxing are Hollywood stars, millionaires and billionaires and they will demand an exceptional and exclusive treatment if they will have to pay thousands of dollars to travel to the middle of the Pacific to watch a boxing match.

We have to provide five star hotels and thousands of rooms to accommodate visitors and that is just the beginning.

I agree with James, Papa Tui should focus on creating employment for the masses and fixing his corrupt administration, which is a drain to the economy.

I know he’s enthusiastic about being in the world media again sitting at ringside but he needs to be realistic for once and stop acting like a credible businessperson.
