A prizewinner during the recent Siva Afi competition, Matuni Vaiaoga, donated his cash prize of $500 tala to the Siva Afi Club.

The donation was done on Saturday night after the competition and was accepted by owner and organizer of Siva Afi Leota Lene Leota.

“I just want to donate my cash prize back to the Siva Afi Club and hope they can take this and use it to continue to perpetuate the fire knife dance and just keeps it going,” said Matuni.

Matuni also went on to thank Leota for bringing him to Samoa and letting him be a part of this competition.

He’s looking forward to coming again next year and bringing more competitors back home.

Leota acknowledged Matuni on behalf of the club for his kindness.
