Family honour the Head of State

The occasion saw the family presenting traditional gifts and food to their Highnesses  at Matamatanonofo Matautu Falelatai.

The Sā Asī, Sagaga Uatasi Tunupopo family of Moata’a paid their respects to the Head of State, His Highness Tuimaleali’ifano Va’aletoa Sualauvi II yesterday.

The occasion saw the family presenting traditional gifts and food to their Highnesses  at Matamatanonofo Matautu Falelatai.

 Family representative, Asi Tunupopo Sagagauatasi, said yesterday’s ceremony was significant for them.

“As a representative of this family, it's a privilege for me and all the other members as well to come here today to give thanks together to our Heavenly Father for His calling upon the life of His Highness, Va’aletoa  Sualauvi II,”Asi said.

“We are from the mother’s side of His Highness, Va’aletoa Sualauvi II and this is what family is all about.

“From the Sā Asi family, we wish both of them well in the future.”

His Highness Tuimaleali’ifano acknowledged the Sa Asī family, thanking them for the gesture.
