WORKING HARD: Tulua Luki of Mulifanua.

At some point in your life, you will come to realize that you have to work whatever job you get, to achieve the little things you need.

That is an opinion from Tulua Luki, a 39-year-old father from Samea Mulifanua.

Tulua was cutting the grass when the Village Voice caught up with him yesterday.

“I’m working today to clean this family’s land because I need some money for my children,” he said to the Village Voice.

“I always do work like these for them and for a job like this a day, I get paid either $25 or $30.”

Tulua and his family do not hold much and he tries his best at whatever job he’s given so he can always have something to support his family.

“Our family is just my wife and children now. Our parents have passed on and everyday I have to live and think back about what they have always told me about this life.

“I finally understand that life is not always sweet.

Tulua said he doesn’t have a permanent job but the family he’s working for right now, have little jobs for him from time to time such as cleaning the lands and other things like that.

“Nowadays, whatever job you get, you work it and that’s what I’ve been doing.

“I need money to support my family, to set up my electricity and water because right now, we’re living off our neighbors’ electricity.

“For water, we don’t have water of our own but that’s why I’m trying to work and figure something out so we can set up our own water as well.

“If only I had a good job then maybe all these things will be easy to take care of.

“I know I’m starting from something small and most of the time I need help with this life but I know only God can change everything for the better.”
