The girl behind the book, otherwise known as Aomalu Elia. An eleven year old bookworm soon to turn twelve on the tenth of August, she is in Year 8 and has attended Vaiala Beach School since Year 4.

Born and raised in Samoa, Aomalu is delighted by the rays of sunshine and luscious nature surrounding her.

Her parents are Vau and Victor Elia. She is a sibling to two brothers and one sister. Aomalu has the role of the second oldest. When her older brother is gone, she is in charge. Family is very important to Aomalu.

To her they are leaders you follow and life lessons you take.

Aomalu lives in a family of six with a new member – her baby brother Victor Junior, three months old and he has already captured his family’s heart.

Like most Samoans, Aomalu was raised in a Christian household. She has learned about God and Jesus from the bible. She reads the bible every week because of her love of Jesus and reading. Aomalu is a book addict. She eats sleeps and breathes books.

Not a day goes by that Aomalu hasn’t read a book. Her favourer author is Mark Frost who wrote her favourite book, ‘The Paladin Prophecy’. Aomalu loves a good mystery.

She prefers fantasy over non fiction any day and enjoys a good cliffhanger though suspenseful, she likes to predict an ending herself. With her love of reading, she also loves to write. She hopes to pursue her dream of becoming a writer but does not want to step into it just yet.

She wants to see what other options there are out there for her.
