The highly-anticipated Annie Grace’s concert held on Saturday night, moved and touched the hearts of hundreds of people who gathered in front of the government building.

The audience gathered to enjoy, listen and learn from Samoa’s very own award-winning artist, Annie Puletiuatoa-Tonumali’i.

There was entertainment from Annie and her team, and also from other youth groups from around the country.

And there was a mixture of feelings and emotions in the atmosphere as it was not just a night of singing and dancing.

In the midst of all the entertainment, the gathering also had the chance to listen to real life testimonies from Annie, and also from To’aletai David Tua and Miss Samoa, Arianna Taufao.

To’aletai David Tua, one of Samoa’s favourite sons shared his stories of how he was broken down when the people who he had trusted, deceived him.  To’aletai’s message to the people of Samoa was very simple.

“It’s not about how hard you fall down, but how quickly you can get back up, pick yourself together and keep fighting again.

“I went through a lot of challenges and difficulties but God helped me through it all and I know that it was the grace of God that saved me... If it wasn’t for God then I wouldn’t be here today.”

He told the audience that when he lost all his hard-earned cash, he went through depression and he was tempted to do wrong things that would’ve made him suffer more.

Anger and frustrations almost pushed him to take revenge on those who had deceived him, he said.

“But my parents told me to forgive and forget. And I chose God and it was His grace and love that saved me and helped me start over.

“And that is why I am here; to remind you that God can heal any pain you face and any challenge that may come your way. Ask him for help and he will help you through it.”

The similar message was conveyed by Annie Tonumali’i better known as Annie Grace.

Annie not only showcased her talent but also gave a testimony of her life.

Like To’aletai’s testimony, Annie told the audience of how her world fell apart after having three miscarriages, marriage problems and then the doctor told her that she had early stages of leukaemia.

“I was confused, depressed and frustrated,” she said.

“But I chose God and he has carried me and my husband through all the pain, sorrows and hardships that we went through. And we stand here tonight in front of all of you because of His Grace. I found hope in God and that is my message to you all. God is the answer to all our problems and all the difficulties in life.

“He can heal any pain or any hardship you may be facing right now. Because I believe that if He can do it for me, then I know that He can also do it for you. Jesus is the answer.

Each song she sang that night explained her journey and the pain she felt and how God saved her life.

According to Annie, she became the strong person she is today because of those difficult times.
