Fuel prices increase for March
Fuel prices have increased slightly for March.
This has been confirmed by the Minister of Finance, Sili Epa Tuioti, in a press release.
“The Minister announced increases in the retail prices for petrol by 4sene from $2.52 to $2.56 per litre, for diesel by 4sene from $2.43 to $2.47 per litre and for kerosene by 1sene from $2.12 to $2.13 per litre,” it reads.
“March retail prices reflect January Singapore Prices ‘MOPS’ prices which have continued to increase albeit at a slower rate.
“Whilst O.P.E.C. has introduced production cuts, the new U.S. President has encouraged more exploration for U.S.Oil. The big question is will O.P.E.C. try again to discourage new U.S. oil which previously led to the fall in crude oil price.”
