Manu Samoa Sevens ready for pool of death

It’s that exciting time of the year again for fans of the abbreviated code of rugby.

The H.S.B.C World Sevens tournament kicks off tonight in Dubai.

Manu Samoa 7s is in a tough pool against the likes of New Zealand, United States of America and Pumas from Argentina in Pool D.

South Africa will be lining up against much improved Canadian team alongside with Kenya and Uganda in Pool A.

England and Scotland will be battling in Pool B against the French team as well Spain.

The Fijian team is scheduled in Pool C with Australia alongside with Wales and Japan.

The Manu Samoa Sevens squad for Dubai is led by Alatasi Tupou, assisted by experienced Falemiga Selesele, Fautua Otto and Tila Mealoi.

Head Coach Sir Gordon Tietjens is confident with his selected 14-man squad.

 “The key for a better ranking in the World Series is a successful result from the first two rounds of the tournament,” Tietjens said.

Manu Samoa Sevens will go up against New Zealand 7s during their first game of the tournament, followed by United States and then Argentina.

H.S.B.C World Sevens second leg of the opening round will take place next week in Cape Town South Africa.
