Members gathered outside of Samoa Stationery and Books (S.S.A.B.) Megastore at Togafu’afu’a and Lotemau on Friday afternoon patiently waiting for their early bird special yesterday.

The early bird special is part of S.S.A.B’s pre-launch promotion leading up to their 10th year anniversary on December 10.

In an interview with the President and owner of S.S.A.B, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai, she said S.S.A.B. was the one who invented the early bird promotion.

“We always try and offer very low prices for the people of Samoa to take advantage of and having early birds is where we just slash the prices,” she said.

“We simply do not care if we do not make anything from the early bird specials that we have every now and then because our biggest objective and goal is to ensure that the people of Samoa access cutting edge technology through the usage of electronics products like H.P. laptops, printers as well as computers.”

“And also purchasing these products at the most affordable prices, for example the original price for our H.P. laptop that we had in our early bird special is $1,350, but the early bird price was only $599. So we slashed it below 50 percent.”

“It’s close to 60 percent if we do the math. We just want people to know the reason we keep H.P. is because we have a very close and firm relationship with H.P. New Zealand.”

Tofilau added throughout the next couple of months up until its birthday, it’s going to remind and revive initiative that they have done in the past 10 years.

“This is one of our pre launched specials is our early bird this morning,” she said.

“Our anniversary campaign will be launched on 10th July and there will be a lot of specials on the day of our launch.”

“As you know, we carry a wide range of products in different areas and that’s why customers are very happy when we have our promotion because it is quite wide that it spreads to so many different products.”

“We do specials on our electronics, education resources, stationeries, homeware, white ware, foot ware, furniture and beds, and not only that it’s our backup support in the electronic section.”

“The early bird this morning was pretty much all the popular products that the people were after and of course the most popular products throughout all our promotions that we have done since the beginning were the laptops,” Tofilau said.
