Govt. allocates unforeseen expenditure for overseas treatment programme
Cabinet has approved $1.5 million from the unforeseen expenditure to offset current excess in the overseas medical treatment appropriation.
Also approved is putting the emphasis on the use of technological methods by doctors to treat patients in Samoa from overseas, and bringing medical specialists from abroad to treat patients at the Motootua Hospital.
Government also prioritizes the availability of all medical equipment needed for treatments in hospitals within the country.
