“Jesus died because of love”.

This was theme that the Falelauniu-uta Methodist Church’s Good Friday programme commemorated.

Held at Falelauniu-uta, Rev. Faimata Ioane said the programme was focused on Easter.

“This is an annual programme where all the youth members of the church performed skits, dances as well as sing to commemorate Easter,” he said.

“Especially to relive how God allowed His only son to die on the cross just so that we can be saved."

“Not only that, but also for the youth to understand the true meaning of Easter and also to know whether they know why Jesus really died for us."

“This is the time to think back of all the love that our God has shown us by sending His one and only son to save us."

“His son who had not sin and yet He was willing to die for us."

“So the programme on Friday was for the youth to perform what our Savior went through during His sufferings.”

Rev. Ioane said the youth were divided into four groups, Savaii, Upolu, Manono and Apolima.

“There were about 32 youths in one group,” he said.

“So it was quite a turn out and we had been preparing for this since the beginning of the month and so on Friday night the youth did the whole programme."

“It was great turn out and we had new members added in the youth after the programme, so that was great.”

Here are some photos from the programme:
