Prime Minister Ardern boards the Gaualofa
It was certainly a moment to remember.
The crew of the Gaualofa hosted some very special guests in New Zealand this week.
They are none other than New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, and her partner, Clark Gayford.
They were aboard the Gaualofa to learn about voyaging and the Samoa Voyaging Society’s (S.V.S.) conservation mission in the Pacific.
The Prime Minister met with Lauaki Lavatai Afifimailagi, Vice President of S.V.S. Schannel van Dijken and Skipper, Fealofani Bruun.
The Samoa Voyaging Society is in New Zealand to take part in a three-week festival, which they are using to promote traditional skills of navigating around the Pacific using the va’a.
