Fuel prices drop further for March
Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi has announced a further drop in fuel prices for March.
The announcement was made in a press release issued by the Minister of Finance yesterday.
Petrol prices have dropped by 11 sene from $2.18 to $2.07 per litre.
Diesel has been reduced by 21 sene from $2.00 to $1.79 per litre while kerosene prices have been reduced by 20 sene from $1.72 to $1.52 per litre.
The decreases in prices reflect the flow on effect of lower crude oil prices which in turn impacts product prices.
The impact of lower crude prices is having a detrimental impact on the Russian economy.
A deal between Saudi Arabia, Russia, Qatar, and Venezuela to freeze oil production was expected to result in crude prices rising, however after an initial change of direction prices have continued to fall.
